Kotobukiya Hexa Gear Rayblade Impulse Review

Diabolically painted Petitgguy not included.

Okay everyone, I've no excuses as to why I haven't updated for a long time now, other than being lazy and now that I'm a fanfiction author on Wattpad.

But anyways this is the stuff that I've promised to review last year. Hexa Gear Rayblade Impulse, which had blown my mind off due to the surprisingly complex assembly. But hey, this kit shows promise, and if you don't like it, kitbash it with something else! It;s compatible with Gunpla model kits as well.

Front View

Rear View

Much detail. So mechanic. Doge. The tires are rubber by the way, and they roll nicely except for the front tire, due to the frictions caused by the head.

The display monitors are so detailed, only lacking in paint. A dab of silver and clear green will do just fine.

The guns are on double hinges and the turn lights are clear parts. Immense details are what you will expect from Kotobukiya, as always. I never reviewed one but I do have experience handling their Frame Arms Girls line. Might as well get the real thing later.

Standard tires for cars. Damn, they look really sporty despite belonging to a military themed machine.

Articulations

Accessories and a bonus

Rayblade Impulse didn't come with many accessories, only the two clear Rayblades as the instruction calls it. You also get a photo/info card which will be a must include in every Hexa Gear kits to come.

The blades attach to the side fins like so.

Vehicle Mode

The vehicle mode is pretty cool actually. My only complaints are it's hard to align the moving parts correctly.

Verdict

In the end there's not much I can say about this kit. Well, it's really up to you whether you should have this or not. Your money, your decision.

And if you don't like it, dismantle it amd use the parts for kitbashing. And as always (not really) see you in the next post. That is if I've got a worthy contender to review...
