Armored Core-Themed Gunpla Custom Project/?
Lately I've been wondering if there are a good gunpla to convert into something that looked like an Armored Core. After I got the Hekija, well? It can be a good material like I said in the review. If you haven't read that review then go read it.
ACs are supposed to be big and bulky. As for Verdict Day's case, sorta hunched back, short and fat. And after taking a look at the legs, I found that Geirail's legs might work. Just add a large shield plating to the left leg and compress it somehow.
Then again, a Tieren from Gundam 00 works too. In fact, their bulky, boxy design is the perfect match for the Verdict Day ACs, namely UCR-10/A. Their small heads are similiar.
Frame-only models like a Graze and Barbatos, for example, also makes a good material but not that good. Heavy weaponry on their backs might loosen the swivel joints on the torso.
As you guys may know, AC weapons are ALWAYS big. Except for average rifles, they're regular sizes. I'll take an example of ACVD's Ultimate Weapon (UW), the Grind Blade. It's a set of six giant chainsaws aligned together via mechanical arms and there's no way a Gundam can carry that wicked big weapon that costs an arm to activate without having major back issues.
If only I can get the right gunpla models, I can start on one, based off of... let's try a Type-LAHIRE Stasis. Or UCR-10/A.
